The application consists of three parts:
- the application form
- a recording
- and a course fee of 180 €
Wind and string players should send an own recording of at least 10 min. (classical concerts and / or excerpts from the usual audition repertoire). Timpanists and percussionists send a short CV and – if possible – a letter of reference.
String players applying for a section leader position, please indicate this in the registration form. All violinists please indicate preference for 1st or 2nd violin.
The course fee has currently been reduced from 380 € to 180 € and thus purely corresponds to the contribution towards expenses for the accommodations. Participants from Berlin or those who have their own quarters can take part completely free of charge. In case of non-acceptance it will be reimbursed immediately. All bank transfer costs must be covered by the applicant. In case of cancellation or withdrawal from participation, the registration fee can only be reimbursed if withdrawal is prior to the registration deadline (31|10|20).
Registration is only valid when all three parts have been submitted.
Registration deadline is 31|10|20. All applicants will receive an answer by e-mail no later than 10|11|20. All further information will be sent by email in November. Scores will also be available for download in November. We expect professional preparation from all participants.
Course fees are 180 € (including registration).
The course fees include:
- Full board accommodation at a student hostel in walking distance to the Philharmonie (multi-bed room)
- Attendance at the dress rehearsal of the New Year’s Eve concert of Berlin Philharmonic
- A recording of the concert at the Berlin Philharmonie (link for download, for non-commercial use only)
Please note that travel expenses cannot be covered.
The entire project will be documented by a professional photographer. For a moderate fee, the student can have private photographs made for his / her own use. Please refer to www.musiktonbild.fotograf.de
